A woman in Louisiana is facing drug charges after someone reported her to the authorities for allegedly posting pictures and videos on social media sites depicting her smoking methamphetamine.

According to reports, a 38-year-old woman who lives in Converse, Louisiana, recently created videos and took pictures of herself while allegedly smoking methamphetamine out of a glass pipe. She then allegedly uploaded the content to social networking sites such as Facebook and Snapchat.

It was reported that on Christmas Eve, someone anonymously called the Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office and told the authorities that they wanted to let them know about the content. An investigation was opened, and the authorities viewed the content that was reported. They decided to file for a warrant to arrest the suspect and a search warrant to inspect her residence, and they were granted four days later.

Everyone has heard the Miranda advisement “You have the right to remain silent. Everything you say can and will be used against you…” As an Orange County criminal defense lawyer, I would like everyone to hear that everything you post on Facebook or other social media will be used against you. In just the last few months I’ve seen the following:

-Two gang members and a friend post a video of a fight they got in with a rival gang member.

-A woman posts a picture of herself holding a meth pipe and blowing a ring of smoke.
