DUI Suspect Drove Mustang Up a Pole

An Alabama man was arrested in Florida on several charges after reportedly driving his Mustang up a power pole while allegedly driving under the influence.

30-year-old Joshua Brigman is from Enterprise, Alabama.

On the afternoon of May 14, Brigman was reportedly hanging out with his friends at Florida State University.

Florida Highway Patrol learned about an accident on U.S. 231 in Jackson County, and when officers arrived, they saw a car that had flipped over and was on fire.

According to reports given to the authorities, another vehicle was involved in the wreck, but the driver left the scene. The officers were given a description of the car.

The authorities found a car nearby that matched the description, and they identified the driver as Brigman.

The vehicle was vertically leaning on a power utility pole, and none of the wheels were on the ground.

When the police talked to the man while recording the vehicle, the audio track has a conversation between two people assumed to be an officer and Brigman. The man’s voice that was asserted to be Brigman’s can be heard saying that they were out with friends at the FSU Lakefront Rez, and the car ended up in the position it was found after he went up the curb.

Brigman was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

When he was released from the medical facility, Brigman was jailed for suspicion of a DUI crash with property damage, leaving the scene of a crash with property damage, no proof of insurance, careless driving, and an expired driver’s license for more than six months.

It was reported that Brigman was not badly injured during the incident, but the video footage of the car being pulled down from its position on the pole made a crunching sound indicating that it was likely going to need many repairs.
