Mom Jailed After Threatening to Kill Kids on TikTok Live

A mom of two in Missouri was jailed after she was allegedly heard telling her children she was going to murder them during a livestream on TikTok.

Early in the morning on November 8, people watching the TikTok livestream of a 30-year-old woman in Jefferson City reportedly heard a disturbing interaction between her and her children, ages 3 and 7. The authorities were notified about the situation, and the Jefferson City Police Department viewed the footage, which they reported had language that was “graphic in nature.” According to the probable cause statement, she made multiple statements that caused them to believe that the youngsters could be in danger. She allegedly told the kids she would beat and kill them if they didn’t go to bed. It was reported that she also made several derogatory statements, called them offensive names, and told one of the children she would kill the other, and it would be their fault that it happened.

When they went into the residence, the police reported that the woman was passed out in her younger child’s room. It was noted that an open bottle of tequila was in the kitchen, which led the police to believe the woman was drunk. Both youngsters were also found sleeping in different rooms.

The woman was taken into custody, and an officer reported that she tried to spit at them when she was in the police car. She was taken to the police station before being booked into the Cole County Jail. She is facing preliminary charges of third-degree assault and abuse or neglect of a child. According to reports, at the time this was written, she was being held without bail.
