A Florida woman is facing charges after she brought her child to a hotel room where she and others allegedly did drugs, drank, and had group sex, and then left the youngster by himself with a dead body.
Last weekend, an incident occurred at the Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa in Palm Coast, resulting in a mother’s arrest and the Department of Children and Families (DCF) taking custody of her 11-year-old boy.
Early in the morning on September 10, a mother was hanging out at a bar while her son stayed with his grandmother. When the establishment was closing, the woman retrieved her child and reportedly headed to a hotel room at the resort.
It was reported that five men were also in the room, and the adults continued partying. They were allegedly drinking and using marijuana and cocaine, and the child went to sleep on one of the beds.
Three left, and two men, ages 60 and 52, remained in the hotel room with the woman. They allegedly had a threesome, and the woman and 52-year-old left the room when they finished. The woman reportedly left her child in the room with the 60-year-old.
A few hours later, the pair returned to the room and found the 60-year-old had passed away, and the child was still in the room.
When the authorities arrived, they reportedly found condom wrappers and signs of drug and alcohol use. The woman spoke to investigators without an attorney present, and she reportedly told them what occurred.
The 32-year-old woman was taken into custody and booked into the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility. She is currently facing one count of child neglect without great bodily harm, and she was jailed in lieu of a $15,000 bond.
DCF has taken custody of the youngster, and his mother will not be allowed to contact him at this time.
