After replicating a scene from the movie Dirty Dancing while allegedly intoxicated inside of a liquor store, one of the two women involved was arrested after being accused of behaving in a disorderly manner.
On September 17, Cindy Barrientos and Mary Crombie reportedly visited the Total Wine & More liquor store in Jensen Beach.
Around 8:00 pm, the pair, who had allegedly already consumed alcohol, began to act out a scene from the 1987 film Dirty Dancing inside of the store. The women then reportedly tried to buy alcohol from the establishment, but they were declined and asked to leave.
Barrientos and Crombie were said to have complied and exited the store, but it was reported that they came back inside after a short time which resulted in the manager calling the authorities for assistance.
When the police arrived Crombie was ushered out of the store while Barrientos allegedly used the opportunity during which Crombie was with the officer to leave the store and get into her car.
When Barrientos was approached by the deputies they reported that she became “belligerent” with them and they asked her to give them the keys to the vehicle. When she did not do as they asked one of the officers allegedly took the keys from her hand and she was told to stay inside of the car.
Barrientos allegedly stepped out of her vehicle and the deputies, who said that her eyes were reddened and she smelled of liquor, was cuffed and taken to the county jail where she is facing a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication. After paying an ordered $400 bond she was released from custody.
