David Koechner Accused of DUI Hit-and-Run 

Actor David Koechner was taken into custody on New Year’s Eve when he allegedly drove intoxicated, purportedly causing him to crash his vehicle, and then fled without notifying the authorities. 

59-year-old David Koechner is an American actor and comedian from Missouri.  

He currently voices several characters on American Dad, is the voice of Robert “Bob Pogo” Pogrohovich on F is for Family, and plays the recurring role of Bill Lewis on The Goldbergs. He is well known for portraying Todd Packer on The Office and co-starring in the Anchorman movies in the role of Champ Kind. He is also about to do a multi-state comedy tour in the near future. 

Around 3:00 pm on December 31, Koechner was reportedly driving in Simi Valley. 

According to reports, Koechner was not driving safely, and he allegedly had two tires blow while he was on the road. 

Someone notified the Simi Valley Police Department, and officers went to try to catch the reported vehicle. 

It was reported that when they found him, the police performed a traffic stop and identified the driver as Koechner.  

The officers felt that Koechner was driving under the influence, and they had him take a roadside sobriety test. According to reports, he did not do well when he tried to perform the exercises. 

Koechner was given a breath test, and it was reported that he blew .13 at the scene. 

Koechner was placed under arrest and booked into the Ventura County Jail. He was given a second breath test, and he reportedly blew a .12. He is facing charges of suspicion of driving under the influence hit-and-run. 

He was released from custody on New Year’s Day, and Koechner has a court date scheduled in the Ventura County Superior Court at the end of March.
