An elementary school administrator in Georgia is reportedly facing felony shoplifting charges after a series of alleged thefts from a Walmart store.
According to police records, the assistant principal allegedly stole merchandise from the same Walmart location in Woodstock, Georgia, nearly 100 times over a roughly two-month period late last year.
An incident report obtained by local media states that the alleged thefts happened between early November and the end of December 2025. During that time, the total value of the items reportedly taken was more than $900. The report does not list what specific items were allegedly stolen.
The police reportedly said the assistant principal used a self-checkout method to carry out the thefts. Investigators claim she would place two items together, scan only one, and then put both items into a bag or shopping cart before leaving the store without paying the full amount.
The authorities arrested the woman on January 19. She was taken to the Cherokee County Jail on suspicion of felony shoplifting charges and later released after posting a bond of just under $5,000. Court records show that a hearing regarding the matter is scheduled in early March.
At the time of the arrest, the woman worked as an assistant principal at an elementary school in Cumming, Georgia. School district information shows she had been in that role for approximately two years. She previously held a similar position at another elementary school in the district.
The Cherokee County School District reported that they placed her on administrative leave while conducting its own internal review, and that they believe it is a very serious matter.
The criminal investigation is also ongoing.
