Florida Man with Machete Slashed Stranger at Pancake House

A woman at a Daytona Beach eatery was reportedly attacked and seriously injured by a man wielding a machete.

According to reports, on the morning of February 24, a woman was sitting in a booth at a Pancake House located in Daytona Beach.

A man was in the restaurant, and he reportedly walked up to several patrons.

While making his rounds and interacting with the customers, the man reportedly sat down and spoke to the woman in the booth.

He got back up and talked to a few other diners, and then reportedly headed back to the woman’s booth.

When he reached her table, the man reportedly took a machete out of his pants. He allegedly used the large blade to cut the woman many times.

The alleged victim began to scream, and she was able to hop over the counter and leave the establishment through the back door.

It was reported that the man fled from the scene.

After the alleged victim left the restaurant, she went to a nearby hotel and called the authorities.

Officers arrived, and they immediately arranged for the woman to be taken to the hospital for her wounds.

The woman told the police that she did not have prior familiarity with the suspect, and she said she did not think she did anything to encourage the attack.

Surveillance video from Pancake House was reviewed by the authorities, and they reported that the footage matched the reports given about the incident.

The suspect was purported to be 34-year-old Pierre Kendrick, and the police located him at his residence on February 27.

Kendrick was placed under arrest for suspicion of attempted first-degree murder, and drug-related charges. He was held in lieu of a $75,000 bond, and if Kendrick is released, he was ordered to turn in any weapons and firearms in his possession. He was also told he would be barred from contacting the alleged victim in any way.
