Gun-Toting Man Assaulted Bar Owner with Belt

When a Florida Man was made to leave a bar in West Palm Beach, he allegedly came back with a gun to threaten the staff and assaulted the proprietor of the business with a belt.

On July 23, a man visited Girafa’s Sports Bar in West Palm Beach. While he was there, he drank so much alcohol that he reportedly became unruly and started to bother the other patrons. He was asked to leave, and the man complied and walked out of the establishment.

He pulled out of the parking lot in his truck, and the man reportedly returned to the bar shortly after.

The man allegedly walked into the business carrying a gun and threatened the owner and security staff. He also reportedly used a belt to hit the owner several times. The security guard jumped in and started to fight with the man.

The owner notified the authorities, and deputies with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office went to the bar to investigate the report. When they drove up, they saw a man about to leave the parking lot in a truck, and they believed it was the suspect the owner called about.

When the officers talked to the people at the bar, they confirmed that the man in the truck was the perpetrator.

The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail. He is facing charges for two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, two counts of aggravated battery on a person using a deadly weapon (belt), and one count of battery touch or strike.

He was released three days later after posting a $35,000 bond.
