Jilted School Employee Arrested for Stalking Ex-Boyfriend

An employee at a school in Ohio was arrested after her ex-boyfriend accused her of stalking him and stealing items from his car.

Last April, the romantic relationship of a woman who works for North Ridgeville Schools as a fourth-grade teacher at Ranger High-Tech Academy ended, and she reportedly refused to make a clean break. According to her ex-boyfriend, the woman spent the next six months contacting him by making many unannounced appearances at his job, his residence, and his parents’ home.

On the evening of November 6, she went to the man’s home and confronted him, resulting in an argument. His car was unlocked, and when his ex walked away, she allegedly opened one of the doors and took two backpacks out of the vehicle. The bags reportedly contained his wallet and two laptops, and the man called the police to report the incident.

The following day, the woman allegedly followed him to his job at Lee Burneson Middle School and climbed into his vehicle. When he saw the woman, the man called the police again, and officers headed to the school, where they saw her in her parked car. When the officers asked her about her presence, they noted that she said the man asked her to come. They reportedly saw his missing items in her vehicle.

The woman was taken into custody. She is facing preliminary charges of theft and menacing by stalking, and the following day, she pleaded not guilty. The police reported that additional charges may be added. Although the situation was not a school-related matter, North Ridgeville City Schools put her on administrative leave.

The value of the items reportedly stolen from the alleged victim’s vehicle was estimated at $1,100.
