Kids Found Home Alone when Police Executed Search Warrant 

A North Carolina woman is facing an extensive list of criminal charges after the authorities allegedly found two children without adult supervision and an abundance of drugs and drug paraphernalia in her residence.  

A 24-year-old woman who resides in Bladenboro, North Carolina had two children in her home last week, and people in the neighborhood got the impression that the kids were not being treated properly. 

The suspicions were reported to the authorities, and deputies from the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office went to investigate the situation with workers from the Bladen County Department of Social Services. 

According to reports, when the authorities arrived, they knocked on the door more than once, but no one answered it. They reported that they detected a strong odor of pot, and they believed it was coming from inside of the home. 

The police obtained a search warrant, and they returned to the premises. 

When they went inside, they reportedly found two children, ages 12 and 14, at home by themselves. 

It was reported that when they inspected the inside of the home, the authorities discovered fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, and US currency that they believed was counterfeit. 

After they located the suspect, who has an active warrant for narcotics and weapons charges in another county, she was placed under arrest and booked into the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center. She is facing several charges including two counts of child abuse, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver fentanyl, maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of keeping/selling controlled substances, manufacturing fentanyl, possession of fentanyl, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of 5 or more counterfeit instruments. 

She is being held in lieu of a $1,004,500 bond.
