Man Arrested for Brutally Beating Girlfriend Over Vape

An Arizona man was arrested on several felony charges after allegedly violently attacking and seriously injuring a woman he was involved with when he learned that she used his vape without his permission.

According to reports, on September 20, at an apartment in Tempe, a couple had a discussion about their relationship that ultimately resulted in the woman being rushed to the hospital with significant injuries. After reportedly telling her he did not want her to talk to other people, she let the man know she had started seeing another individual. The following day, when the man got out of the shower, he noticed she had used his vape and allegedly reacted violently.

The man, who was reportedly using drugs and intoxicated, allegedly made the woman take Xanax pills. He reportedly brutally attacked her in several ways, including throwing her around, holding a gun to her head, striking her, and choking her. Although she was injured, the woman found a way to leave and drove to a nearby In-N-Out restaurant. She notified the authorities, and when officers and first responders arrived, they reported that the woman was beaten so badly that she was unrecognizable. She was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, and it was reported that she suffered multiple fractures, in addition to 36 injuries to her head.

The suspect, who has been involved in previous domestic violence incidents, was taken into custody. He is facing a total of seven felony preliminary charges, including aggravated assault and tampering with evidence. Records indicate that at the time this was written, he was still behind bars in the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office detention center in lieu of a $250,000 cash-only bond.
