Man Called 911 to Report Crime After Burglarizing Ex’s Home

A Pennsylvania man was taken into custody after allegedly entering his ex’s home without permission and calling 911 to tell the authorities someone struck him with a baseball bat.

Early in the morning on February 18, a man from Curwensville reportedly sent his ex-girlfriend several text messages.

The man allegedly went to her house uninvited and then left again.

Just after 3:00 AM, the man reportedly went back to her residence and went into the house without permission. He reportedly entered the home through the front door, and the woman was upstairs in her bedroom. It was reported that one additional person was at the home in her room when the woman’s ex arrived.

It was reported that the man went to the woman’s bedroom, and she tried to shove him in an attempt to make him leave. Instead, the man allegedly walked further into the room and grabbed a glass beer bottle. He reportedly hit the second person in the face with the object and caused injuries to his face and teeth.

The man walked out of the room and called the authorities, and he reportedly told the 911 dispatcher he had been hit with a baseball bat.

Officers with the Pennsylvania State Police went to the address, and when they arrived, they talked to the woman. She reportedly told them about the way her ex walked in and attacked her guest.

When the police interacted with the guest, they said he had injuries that could have feasibly been obtained by being struck with a bottle. They also noted that the ex-boyfriend had a bump on his head, but when they searched, they did not locate a baseball bat.

The man was placed under arrest and booked into the Clearfield County Corrections Facility. He is expected to face charges of burglary, trespassing, and disorderly conduct. He was held on a $25,000 bond.
