Man Tricked into Hotel Meet and Beat

One woman was arrested, and another is being sought in connection with an incident involving a man at a hotel being punched in the face and robbed.

Just before 1:30 AM on January 10, two females were in a room at the Red Roof Inn in LaGrange, Georgia.

According to reports, the women spoke to a man with whom they are familiar and told him to meet them at the hotel room. The man had his cell phone stolen recently by someone they know, and they told him they wanted to speak to him about it.

When the man arrived, he reported that both females punched him in the face, and he was knocked to the ground. He said they took his money and prescriptions from him before they left.

The LaGrange Police Department was notified about the incident, and officers were sent to the address.

They looked for the suspects, and they found one of the women in her hotel room. They were unable to locate the second woman.

When the authorities searched her, they reportedly found that the woman had hydrocodone, and a glass smoking pipe with the residue of a substance believed to be crack cocaine. Money and medications were also found, and the police asserted that they were stolen from the alleged victim.

The woman was placed under arrest on suspicion of several charges including aggravated assault, strong arm robbery, VGCSA (Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act) possession of a schedule 2 controlled substance, two counts of VGCSA possession of a schedule 4 controlled substance, and possession of a drug-related object.

It was learned that the second woman drove away from the scene. At the time this was written the police were still trying to locate her.
