Meth-Holding Waffle House Worker in Sticky Situation

A man who works at a Waffle House in Tennessee was allegedly caught with drugs and paraphernalia while on the clock.

31-year-old Anthony James Silcox is employed at a Waffle House located in Caryville.

The authorities suspected that Silcox was involved in illegal activities, and they planned to approach the man while he was on duty.

On December 3, several agents with the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Caryville Police Department, were granted a warrant.

The law enforcement agents arrived at the Waffle House and saw that Silcox was in the kitchen near the restaurant’s grill.

According to the police report, when the officers approached the man, he willingly complied with them while they investigated the situation.

He was detained while the police patted him down to see if Silcox was holding anything illegal. It was reported that he was found in possession of just over 3 grams of a white substance that the authorities believed resembled methamphetamine. He additionally allegedly had paraphernalia.

When the authorities asked Silcox questions about what they reportedly discovered, the man chose to speak with them without an attorney present.

Silcox allegedly told the officers that he needed to make some money on the side. He reportedly said that he does not do it on a regular basis, but that he sells methamphetamine to help him earn extra money. Silcox reported that he is currently without a home, and he must stay in motels and his vehicle because of his money problems.

Silcox was taken into custody and booked into the Campbell County Jail. He is expected to face charges for suspicion of felony sale and delivery of methamphetamine (schedule II substance), and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia. His first court appearance was scheduled for last Monday.
