Suspect Says Trump Influenced Alleged Sexual Assault

A man who was seated near a woman on board a Southwest Airlines flight on Sunday has been accused of inappropriately touching her in a sexual manner, and he reportedly cited words from the President as a rationalization for his alleged behavior.

49-year-old Bruce Alexander, a resident of Tampa, Florida, was taking a flight to Albuquerque, NM, and he was reportedly sitting behind a woman who had fallen asleep.

The woman said that a short time into the flight she arose from her nap when she thought she felt something touching her around her bra area and believed it was another person, but she dismissed it as an accident. She went back to sleep and nearly a half an hour later she allegedly woke to a hand touching her arm and then grabbing her on the side of her body.

After the second incident, the woman reportedly got out of her seat and turned to Alexander, who she identified as the person that kept touching her, and told him to stop. She was then moved to another part of the airplane after she asked an airline attendant for assistance.

When the plane landed in Albuquerque, Alexander was placed under arrest. It was reported that he disclosed, “the president of the United States says it’s OK to grab women by their private parts,” likely making reference to well-known footage where Trump said that when you’re famous you can do anything you want with women such as, “grab them by the pu**y.”

Alexander is in federal custody and he is facing charges of felony abusive sexual conduct. He could be sentenced for up to two years of incarceration in addition to a fine of a quarter of a million dollars if he is found guilty.
