Suspects Robbed Cosmetics Store in Camarillo

A man and woman in California are facing charges after allegedly stealing items from a cosmetics store in Camarillo last weekend.

Just before 3:00 PM on July 22, a man and woman from Bakersfield reportedly visited a cosmetics store in Camarillo. When they left the establishment, it was believed that they had stolen products from the store.

The authorities were notified, and officers from the Camarillo Police Department went to the location to investigate. When they arrived, they reported that they were able to obtain quite a bit of information about the suspects from a bystander.

They collected details such as the make, model, and license plate number of the vehicle the suspects were in. The officers also learned that over $1000 worth of merchandise was taken from the store.

Deputies spotted the vehicle shortly after the incident was reported, and they performed a traffic stop. When they walked up to the car, they reportedly found much more than they expected.

The authorities learned that the woman, who was the driver of the car, had a fake license. It reportedly had her picture on it, but it did not display her legal name.

They allegedly found credit cards, identification cards/driver’s licenses, medication, and a bank check in different people’s names. A bag next to the driver’s seat was discovered, and it reportedly held Fentanyl, meth, pills, and paraphernalia. The amount of drugs they reportedly found made the police believe the narcotics were intended for selling.

The woman was taken into custody and booked into the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility on suspicion of commercial burglary, theft, and possession of controlled substances for sales. She was held in lieu of a $50,000 bond.

The man was also booked into the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility, and he is expected to face the same charges. He is being held on a $20,000 bond.
