A Georgia woman was arrested after she allegedly tried to get free food from a Chick-Fil-A on several occasions by asserting that she is an agent with the FBI.
A Chick-Fil-A in Rockmart was reportedly recently visited by a woman, later identified as 47-year-old Kimberly Ragsdale, who drove a white Dodge Caravan and allegedly disclosed that she worked for the FBI.
Ragsdale reportedly used her official status in an attempt to get the eatery to give her meals free of charge and allegedly said they would be arrested for non-compliance.
According to the reports, Ragsdale visited the location more than once in the same week.
Late in the morning on November 5, Ragsdale pulled up to the restaurant and allegedly tried to get them to comp her a meal.
The employees began to doubt the validity of Ragsdale’s alleged claims of her job position, and they reached out to the authorities for assistance with the situation.
Officers arrived at the restaurant and saw a van that they believed matched the description of the one the alleged FBI fraud was driving.
A woman was reportedly in the driver’s seat, and when speaking with the officers, Ragsdale reportedly told them that she was, in fact, an agent with the FBI.
When they asked if Ragsdale could show them proof of her employment, she allegedly told the police that her identification was electronically recorded instead of in the form of a physical ID.
The officers asked Ragsdale to get out of the van, but she allegedly would not comply.
In response to her alleged refusal, an officer told Ragsdale she would be tased if she did not get out of the vehicle.
When she cooperated with the order and the police were taking her into custody, Ragsdale allegedly tucked her head to her chest area and asked that someone meet her at the police department. The officers purported that she was pretending to contact the FBI.
Ragsdale was placed under arrest and incarcerated, and she is expected to face charges for impersonating a public official.
After two days in jail, Ragsdale was released on a $3,000 bond.
