Dispute Over Chips and Cheating Led to Domestic Violence Arrest

When discord between a Florida couple regarding unfaithful behavior and snack chips escalated to physical violence, one of the women was placed under arrest for allegedly strangling her lover.

27-year-old Patricia Ann Isaac and her girlfriend have been together for the past eight-years. The couple currently shares a residence in Clearwater, Florida.

Around 1:30 am on December 13, Isaac and her girlfriend reportedly got into an argument that was spurred by “chips and infidelity,” according to the arrest report.

When the police arrived at the scene, they reportedly spoke with Isaac, who they recorded as being intoxicated at the time. While discussing the situation with them, Isaac allegedly told the police that she hit her girlfriend with a closed fist and then put the woman in a headlock.

The authorities interacted with the alleged victim, and they were told by the woman that she and Isaac took part in a scathing verbal disagreement before she was reportedly assaulted. The woman reported that Isaac put her hands around her neck and squeezed with such force that she could not breathe until after she was released from Isaac’s grasp.

The alleged victim was noted as having a scratch on her neck, but no other injuries were reported in the affidavit.

Isaac was taken into custody and booked into the Pinellas County Jail. She is facing charges for suspicion of felony domestic battery by strangulation. After satisfying her bond, which was set at $5,000, Isaac was released from incarceration with stipulations that she must wear an ankle device that will record it if she drinks alcohol, and she is disallowed from making contact with her girlfriend at this time.
