Sex on Beach Turned into Bloody Hatchet Attack

Two people are facing charges after an alleged arranged meeting for sex on the beach reportedly turned into a violent attack involving a hatchet.

Last week, a man was socializing with an 18-year-old female when he expressed that he had a desire to be tied up on the beach and sexually dominated. According to reports, the pair agreed to meet on the evening of October 30 in Ormond-By-The-Sea, an unincorporated area in Volusia County, to fulfill his wishes.

The woman said she would drive the pair to the location and picked up the man at his home. When they got to the area, the woman, who reportedly had a yellow rope with her, parked at Bicentennial Park so they could walk to a spot on the beach. When they sat down on the sand, the woman maintained a few feet of distance from the man, and he thought it was suspicious since they planned to be intimate. As she began putting the rope around his legs, the man decided he did not want to continue.

It was reported that a 24-year-old man approached, and he appeared to be aggressive. The alleged victim tried taking the rope off his legs so he could leave, but the woman reportedly impeded him from doing so until he pushed her away. He began running away from the pair, and he was allegedly caught by the man and taken down to the ground. The man reportedly began choking him. The woman allegedly cut the man all over his body with what he thought was a hatchet.

When he got away, the man was seen by a deputy in the area, and they went to help him. They reported that he was bleeding from several wounds on his body, and he was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Both suspects were taken into custody and booked into the Volusia County Branch Jail. The woman declined to talk to the authorities without a lawyer present, and the male suspect said he saw the woman being pushed onto the ground and he intervened to protect her. They were released after they each paid $5,000 bonds.
