A news release from the Placer County sheriff’s department stated that on Sunday evening a woman called for assistance reporting that a man had violently assaulted her and threatened to burn down her house. Upon arrival the deputies located the woman and accompanied her to a safe place. 27-year-old Christopher Williams was determined to be the alleged perpetrator, but his whereabouts were not immediately discovered.

When several announcement attempts were met with no response they broke open the door of the home and were unsuccessful at locating Williams inside. A California Highway Patrol aerial search of the property and dwelling using heat imagery also failed to reveal his location. Deputies then sent a sheriff’s K-9 into the crawl space under the house to try to find Williams.

K-9 Officer Eros discovered Williams in the crawl space and proceeded to bite him on the arm in an attempt to subdue him.
