Suspect Caught for Fourth DUI Threatened to Put Curse on Police

A Kentucky woman facing several charges after she was allegedly caught driving under the influence for the fourth time threatened to put a curse on the police when she was taken into custody.

Early in the morning on October 20, a 41-year-old woman was driving her Kia in a residential neighborhood in Elizabethtown. Someone who reportedly saw the allegedly erratic operation of the vehicle became concerned and notified the authorities.

Officers with the Elizabethtown Police Department went to the location and saw the woman in her vehicle. The person who called spoke to the officers and told them she believed the driver was heavily intoxicated.

When they interacted with the woman driving the Kia, it was reported that she smelled like she had been drinking alcohol. She reportedly did not know where she was. When the authorities asked her to take a roadside sobriety test, the woman reportedly refused. She was taken to the station for a breath test, but, again, she declined to provide them with the sample.

The suspect was taken to a local hospital, and a judge ordered a blood test to determine her blood-alcohol level. The woman still refused to cooperate, and she allegedly warned two officers at the hospital that she would put a curse on them.

The woman was arrested by deputies from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office and was booked into the Hardin County Detention Center. She is facing several preliminary charges including a fourth or subsequent offense operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicants, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, menacing, second-degree disorderly conduct, and obstructing governmental operations.

Shortly after being booked, she was released after she posted a $2,000 cash bond. According to court records, she has a pretrial hearing scheduled for November 20.
