A Florida woman reportedly claiming to be an Egyptian deity is facing charges after causing a violent scene including striking bystanders and a police officer.
On the afternoon of December 11, in Miami Beach, a woman reportedly drove to a spot directly in front of the Havana 1957 restaurant. She allegedly stopped in the middle of the road and got out of the car.
According to someone who said they saw the incident, the woman began slamming her hands on the hoods of the cars nearby.
The woman returned to her vehicle and went to an official parking spot, where she left her car and walked over to Havana 1957. She reportedly started throwing plates and glasses, and some of them hit the patrons. It was reported that she also slammed tables.
The authorities were notified, and officers went to the restaurant.
When they arrived, the 26-year-old from Boynton Beach had allegedly aggressively slapped the hand of the manager when they asked her to leave the premises.
The officer tried to interact with the woman, and they reported that she was uncooperative. She allegedly ordered him to keep his hands off her and then slapped him across the face.
He tried to use his Taser on the woman, but it did not work.
When a second officer tried to intervene, they reported that she tried to hit them as well.
The officers were able to detain her, and the woman allegedly claimed she was a family member of the late Tupac Shakur. She also reportedly said she was a “God from ancient Egypt.”
She was taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center to ensure she did not need treatment.
After her release, she was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. She is facing preliminary charges of battery on a police officer, resisting an officer with violence, assault on a police officer, disorderly conduct at an establishment, and resisting an officer without violence. She was held in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
