Woman Pulled Gun on Husband for Late Child Support

A woman who was reportedly upset about an allegedly late child support payment was accused of holding the child’s father at gunpoint with the youngster in the room.

44-year-old Lashuna Hall resides in Memphis, approximately 15 miles away from her estranged husband’s home. The ex-couple has a daughter together, and the child is reportedly diagnosed as autistic.

The youngster’s father lives in Millington, and on the afternoon of May 22, she was spending time with her dad at his home.

It was reported that Hall went to her husband’s house to tend to the child’s hair.

While Hall was at the man’s residence, she reportedly began to accuse him of not making his most recent child support payment, causing her rent to be late. Hall reportedly believed her husband was a week late based on a mutually agreed-upon arrangement, and that he still had not given her the funds.

Hall allegedly exclaimed, “It’s about to get bad in here,” before reportedly pulling a Beretta out of her handbag. The couple’s daughter reportedly watched the incident and, according to her dad, she began to scream.

The authorities were notified, and deputies with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office went to the address.

When they spoke with her husband about the situation, the man reportedly told them that Hall uses medication to help with depression, and he believed she might have stopped taking the prescription. Hall’s husband purported that the medication problem was the cause of the incident.

When they searched the home, the deputies found the gun allegedly used in the incident.

Hall was placed under arrest and jailed. She is facing charges for two counts of aggravated assault, and one count of domestic assault. She was released from custody after posting a $1,000 bond.

According to reports, Hall’s husband was able to produce a digital receipt showing that the payment had been made on time.
