A 19-year-old Wyoming man was charged with several felonies after authorities said he led officers on a dangerous pursuit, crashed into a tanker truck, and remained in a standoff for more than four hours.

According to court documents, the incident began when authorities responded to a welfare check after receiving a report that the man was intoxicated, had access to a firearm, and had sent concerning messages. Officers located him sitting in a Cadillac with a gun pointed at himself. When they approached, he allegedly drove away.

Investigators said the man reached speeds of up to 81 mph in areas posted at 40 mph. During the pursuit, he allegedly swerved toward patrol vehicles, drove into oncoming traffic, and fired a handgun toward a residential area. Authorities said he continued driving even after spike strips damaged one of his tires.

A Florida man was accused of threatening two teenagers with knives after becoming angry about noise coming from a go-kart being worked on in a neighborhood garage.

According to the authorities, the incident happened during the evening hours of June 8 in a residential area of Lake County. Investigators said the teens were revving the engine of a go-kart inside a garage when a neighbor allegedly became upset by the noise and confronted them.

The alleged victims told the authorities that the man approached them while yelling and using profanity. During the confrontation, he allegedly threw a lawn chair across a driveway and demanded that one of the teens, who was visiting a friend, leave the neighborhood.

The incident allegedly continued for hours overnight at a hospital in Weston County. Court documents stated that the nurse received repeated phone calls and text messages from the sergeant while he remained outside the facility. The alleged victim reportedly asked him to stop, but the messages allegedly persisted.

According to the affidavit, hospital staff later reported seeing a man believed to be the sergeant outside the building around 3:30 a.m. The individual was reportedly dressed in dark clothing and appeared to be lingering near the hospital.

The investigation began after a confrontation at a school bus stop in Citrus County at about 8:10 a.m. The incident was later reported to a school resource officer, who then contacted deputies.
