Woman Shot in Buttocks During Altercation Over Infidelity

A Florida woman may face a serious felony charge after the authorities determined she attempted to kill her alleged romantic rival by reportedly shooting her in the backside.

Infidelity often causes different types of harm to the individuals involved, and on September 20 in Miami Gardens, it was the reported cause of a violent altercation between two women. According to reports, the person who would become the alleged victim spotted her boyfriend’s car near the residence of a woman she believed he was cheating on her with. She decided to confront him, and when she went to the door, she became aggressive with the woman. Ultimately, her boyfriend refused to come out of the bedroom, so she left.

As she walked back to her car, she was struck from behind by two bullets. One hit her in the buttocks, and the other in a spot near her back. The authorities and a fire rescue unit went to the area, and the alleged victim was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Miami Gardens Police Department for questioning. The police report noted that she freely chose to talk to them about the incident without having an attorney present. She allegedly told the investigator that the other woman showed up unannounced and threatened to physically harm her while pounding on the door. Though she reported that she initially did not answer, she allegedly fired the gun in her direction while the woman was walking away.

The woman was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional & Rehabilitation Center on suspicion of a preliminary charge of attempted murder, a felony. According to facility records, at the time this was written, she was being held without bond.
