On May 13, a woman was at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, and she visited the chapel inside the building.
While she was there, she allegedly defecated on the altar and used the runner as toilet paper. When the poop was discovered, it was noted that the excrement was smeared on the altar with a picture that was inside the chapel.
The authorities were notified, and the police identified the 27-year-old woman they believed was responsible for the dirty deed. The woman was taken into custody and booked into the Hamilton County Jail on suspicion of felony desecration.
She was released after posting a $2,500 bond. Her first court date was set for May 25. She has entered a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity, and the case is still ongoing.
According to a bond revocation complaint, the woman, who was ordered to wear an electronic monitoring device, “failed to keep the Electronic Monitoring Unit” charged, and the police lost track of where she was at the end of July. They believed she left the state, and a warrant for her arrest was issued.
When she was located, she was arrested and released on her own recognizance on August 5.
According to the court docket, the woman was scheduled to appear in court on October 30, but she was not present in the courtroom, and that counted as another violation of her bond. Another warrant was issued for her arrest.
