22-year-old Cruz Humes lives in Margate, Florida. He has spent the last 7-years working for a Publix supermarket in Coral Springs.
Humes reported that he has recently been experiencing an overwhelming amount of stress. He discovered that masturbation gives him relief, but he does not feel he has enough privacy to do so in his residence.
Last Monday evening, Humes reportedly drove his SUV to Publix and stayed in the vehicle after he parked in the lot.
The man allegedly proceeded to use his phone to watch pornographic material. With his pants undone and his underpants out of the way, Humes reportedly began to play with himself in the public parking space.
A mobile blood drive bus was reportedly operating in direct line of sight of Humes’ SUV, and the employees said they saw the man pleasuring himself.
The authorities were notified, and officers from the Coral Springs Police Department went to the location to investigate.
When they walked up to Humes’ vehicle, the officers reported that his genitals were exposed. He also allegedly still had pornographic content showing on his phone screen.
After Humes was Mirandized, the man allegedly agreed to give a statement without an attorney present.
According to the police report, Humes reportedly explained the recent feelings of tension he was experiencing and the way he chooses to control them. He additionally allegedly added that he repeats the public act up to 3 times a week.
Humes was taken into custody and booked into the Broward Sheriff’s Office main jail. He is being charged with two counts of misdemeanor indecent exposure, and he was later released on bond.
