Man Arrested for Throwing Pregnant Girlfriend on the Ground

On July 24, in Pinellas Park, Florida, an expectant father and his pregnant girlfriend reportedly got into an argument that escalated into a battery charge when the man is said to have intentionally lifted the woman and dropped her to the ground.

Just before 3:00 am on Tuesday, 22-year-old Roldan Lazaro Aleman and his girlfriend who is four months pregnant with his child got into a disagreement when Aleman accused the woman of speaking with another man. Their verbal fight allegedly took a different course when Aleman entered the bedroom and picked the woman up in his arms before dropping her to the floor.

When the Pinellas Park police arrived at the residence and assessed the situation they believed that there was reason to place Aleman, who has a tattoo across his chest that reads, “Family Over Everything,” under arrest.

When they tried to take him into custody Aleman was said to have gotten uncooperative and aggressive. It was reported that he began throwing punches and kicking his legs which allegedly landed blows on the police officers and their K9.

Aleman was subdued when one of the officers used a Taser on him, and he was apprehended. He is now facing several charges comprised of two counts of battery of a law enforcement officer, two counts of resisting an officer with violence, one count of offense against a police dog, and one count of aggravated battery on a pregnant female. He was additionally charged with possession of marijuana when officers allegedly found a little bit of marijuana stored in his belongings.

Aleman, who was issued a bail amount of $20,300, is listed as a current inmate according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office website.
