Road Rage Incident Led Police to Huge Stash of Illegal Guns

A man in Maryland who allegedly had road rage is facing several charges after the police found drugs and many illegal firearms at his house.

On the morning of August 13, a 30-year-old man was driving in Gambrills when he encountered a vehicle that was noticeably being driven above the posted speed limit. When the vehicle rolled up next to the other driver, the person in the passenger’s seat allegedly pointed what appeared to be a handgun at him before they sped off.

Around 10:00 AM, the authorities were notified by the alleged victim. He shared his account of what happened, in addition to providing them with a description of the vehicle the suspects were in.

It was reported that the police spotted the vehicle, and they were able to get the driver to pull over successfully. He allegedly resisted violently by kicking and spitting on the officers when they interacted with him.

When the authorities searched the suspect’s home, they reportedly found a gun matching the description of the one used in the reported event. They also allegedly found several additional guns, most of which were illegal with the serial numbers removed.

The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Jennifer Road Detention Center in Anne Arundel County. The authorities are trying to charge him with multiple criminal acts including two counts of reckless endangerment, two counts of first-degree assault, ten counts of second-degree assault, malicious destruction of property with a value of less than $1,000, illegal possession of ammunition, three counts of illegal possession of a registered firearm, possession of a firearm without a serial number, possession of unregistered rifle or shotgun, three counts of removal or obliteration of serial number, three counts of knowingly altering a firearm’s ID number, two counts of disqualification for possession of a rifle or shotgun, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance: not cannabis.

He is currently being held without bond.
