Rapper “Gunplay” Pointed AK-47 at Wife During Fight

Florida rapper “Gunplay” is facing charges after he allegedly hurled items at his wife while she was holding a baby and reportedly threatened to shoot her with an AK-47 during a domestic dispute.

Richard Morales Jr. is a rapper in the Triple C’s and one of the stars on VH1’s Love and Hip Hop. The 44-year-old is currently married. Until recently, he and his wife lived in a Miami residence with their 6-month-old daughter.

On August 20, Morales and his wife reportedly had a spat after dinner. He was reportedly being too loud while playing a game on his Xbox, and his wife wanted him to quiet down so their daughter would stay asleep. Things allegedly went south when she confronted him about the situation, and the couple began fighting.

According to reports, the argument quickly escalated, and the woman grabbed some items for herself and the baby so she could check into a hotel for the night. Before she was able to get out the door, Morales allegedly threw breakable items at her while the child was in her arms. Shards of glass reportedly went in the direction of where his wife was standing, and she protected the baby by covering her with a blanket.

In an alleged attempt to stop her from leaving, Morales reportedly picked up an AK-47 and aimed it at his wife while threatening her.

The woman was able to get out of the home with their daughter, and the police were notified. When she spoke to the authorities, she alleged that Morales had a drinking problem, and she believed the situation transpired because he had too much to drink that night.

Morales was taken into custody and booked into the Miami-Dade County Jail. He is facing preliminary charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment, and child abuse. It was reported that he was released from custody on house arrest. He is also prohibited from any contact with the alleged victim.
