A series of events resulting in a man’s arrest unfolded at a local car wash when a customer reported he was hiding under her vehicle.
A woman who was vacuuming her car reported she noticed something unusual and asked employees to review the security footage. She was convinced that someone had been crawling under her SUV. A worker reviewed the footage and confirmed her suspicions. The surveillance video revealed that a man had crawled under her vehicle while she was cleaning it. By the time the video was being reviewed, the woman had already notified the authorities.
The man was identified as someone who had visited the car wash before. Employees were able to get part of the license plate of the man they believed was responsible, and they kept a close eye out in case he returned.
According to the police, this wasn’t the first time they were notified about the same type of incident. On August 29th, officers investigated three separate reports at the same car wash location. They reported that a man was seen crawling under the SUVs of women while they were vacuuming their vehicles. It appeared that the man would park next to his victims, hide under their SUVs for several minutes, and then leave when they finished vacuuming.
On September 24, the man was taken into custody and booked into the county lockup. He is currently facing preliminary charges of three counts of voyeurism and three counts of disorderly conduct. He was held on a $10,000 bond, and if he is released, he will be required to wear an ankle monitor.
It was reported that all three alleged victims described the incidents as deeply disturbing, and they had their cars inspected to see if a tracking device had been attached.
