Ex-NFL Player Urinated on Woman and Hit Man During Flight

Former NFL player Gosder Cherilus was arrested after allegedly causing turmoil on a flight by intimidating passengers, urinating on a woman, and striking a man.

On the evening of August 18, Cherilus, who hails from Wakefield, Massachusetts, was taking a Delta Air Lines Flight to Dublin leaving out of Logan International Airport in Boston. According to reports, it was believed that he was already intoxicated when he got to the airport. The flight was delayed, and during the approximately three and a half hours wait, Cherilus reportedly drank additional alcoholic beverages.

It was after midnight when the flight took off, and Cherilus was reportedly giving the crew a hard time because he was unhappy with his assigned seat. When the plane had been in the air for about an hour, he went up to an elderly woman, opened his pants, and allegedly proceeded to pee on her for almost half a minute. When people noticed what was happening, they quickly forced him to return to his seat, where he allegedly yelled at a man and struck him. Things calmed down, and Cherilus sat in his seat and fell asleep.

They were forced to fly back to Logan International, and when it landed, troopers from the Massachusetts State Police got on the plane to detain Cherilus. They told him he needed to get off the plane, but he reportedly did not cooperate.

Four officers struggled to put two pairs of handcuffs on the large man, and Cherilus was taken into custody on suspicion of disorderly conduct, disturbing a flight crew, and resisting arrest. He was later released on $2,500 bail, and he has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
