Four ER Nurses Assaulted by Unruly Trump Fan

A Florida woman wearing a “Trump 2016” shirt allegedly battered four nurses in the emergency room while they were trying to administer treatment.

Just after midnight on June 18, 28-year-old Roseanna Denton was in the company of her parents when she reportedly started behaving unusually.

Denton’s mother and father became concerned that their daughter might have taken a dangerous amount of drugs, and they decided to bring her to the emergency room for assessment.

They arrived at the West Florida Hospital in Pensacola at approximately 12:30 am.0

While waiting to be seen by the medical staff, Denton reportedly continued acting erratically.

The woman’s mother and father alerted the nurses that they believed their daughter had needles in her purse in a purported attempt to prevent anyone from being injured.

The nurses decided the best course of action would be to restrain Denton and take her to the crisis unit.

While four nurses tried to work with Denton, she allegedly thrashed around and fought with them. The girl reportedly resisted while they tried to place her in restraints by spitting, kicking, scratching, and punching the nurses.

None of the staff was badly injured, but each of the four nurses reportedly had fingernail-sized bloody scratches and red marks on their bodies.

The hospital security notified the police about the alleged attack.

When officers spoke with the alleged victims, they all gave similar statements about what transpired. Their visible injuries were also recorded in the police report.

Denton had been sedated by the time the police talked to her, and she reportedly said she “thought she was at the hospital to visit a relative.” She was additionally noted as denying any wrongdoings while she was there.

A couple of days after the incident, Denton was taken into custody and booked into the county jail for suspicion of four counts of felony battery.
