Four Florida women are facing charges after they allegedly pulled a woman from her residence and assaulted her because she mistakenly received the pizza delivery that they ordered.
On March 5, at approximately 2:00 AM, four women, ages 26, 21, and two 17-year-olds, placed an order for pizza to be delivered to the Gainsville apartment in which they were hanging out.
When the order arrived, the delivery person brought it to a neighboring apartment by accident. In the confusion, the pizza was left with the woman in the wrong apartment.
According to reports, there were people hanging around outside the building, and the woman tried to see if one of them ordered the food. When they told her they did not, she decided to hand out slices to everyone. Afterward, the woman returned to her apartment.
The women who initially ordered the food went in search of their pizza, and they were led to her residence.
When they discussed the botched delivery, the girls told the woman they wanted her to pay them $100 for the mishap. The woman ignored the request and went inside.
It was reported that one of the 17-year-old girls went into the woman’s home without being invited. While inside, the girl allegedly punched the woman several times and forced her outside, and then the four women allegedly began to hit her.
All four women were arrested. The two older girls were taken into custody and booked into the Alachua County Jail. They are each facing preliminary charges on suspicion of misdemeanor battery – touch or strike.
Both women were released on their own recognizance. The suspects are disallowed from having contact with each other, and with the other girls involved in the incident.
