Man Arrested After Violent Attack on Family

A Pennsylvania man was arrested after an alleged attack on his soon-to-be ex-spouse at her parents’ house reportedly left multiple people injured, including an 11-year-old who was allegedly stabbed while trying to shield her mother from harm.

According to reports, a woman who recently filed for a divorce from her 33-year-old husband was involved in a violent encounter with the man. Things were reportedly tense between the pair, and the woman was recently granted a restraining order to keep her ex away from her. She and her two children also relocated to her parents’ house.

Early in the afternoon on September 28, the woman’s efforts were reportedly foiled when he allegedly showed up at the home. The man allegedly got into the house through one of the windows and reportedly violently attacked her while she was in the bedroom. Her parents, in addition to her 8-year-old son and 11-year-old daughter, were also in the house, and the younger child went to a nearby residence to get help. The man allegedly had a knife, and the woman’s daughter jumped on top of her mom to try to protect her. The girl was reportedly stabbed in the arm. When the woman’s parents stepped in, the man reportedly attacked and injured them as well.

When the authorities arrived, they noted that more than one individual, including the suspect, had stab wounds. The police believed that the man had stabbed himself. All of the injured parties were taken to the hospital, and none of their injuries were reported as being life-threatening.

After he is released from the hospital, it is expected that the man will be booked into the Fayette County Jail. He is facing preliminary charges of criminal attempted homicide, three counts of aggravated assault and harassment, and endangering the welfare of children.
