A North Carolina man was arrested for several charges in Florida after he allegedly threw bottles filled with urine at employees when he tried to apply for a job at a molding supply store and was denied an interview.
On the afternoon of April 3, a 51-year-old man went to “Doors, Moulding & More,” a molding supply store in St. Petersburg, in hopes of getting a job. After talking to some of the employees, they told him they were not interested in interviewing him for a position. He reportedly became upset, and instead of leaving the business without incident, he allegedly used bodily fluids to express his displeasure.
While he did walk outside of the establishment, the man reportedly began throwing bottles filled with what was believed to be his own urine into the store. When they broke, the contents doused multiple pieces of merchandise and at least one employee. The authorities were notified, and the man, who was reported as having a skateboard, left before the police arrived.
When officers from the St. Petersburg Police Department got to the scene, the employees told them that in addition to the alleged urine attack, when they tried to approach the man, he also wielded his skateboard at them in a way that caused them to believe he was going to hit them.
The man, who was reported as being a former felon and registered sex offender, was found and taken into custody. He was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on suspicion of two felony counts of aggravated assault, one felony count of aggravated battery, and one felony count of criminal mischief. He is currently being held in lieu of a $22,500 bond. According to reports, he was assigned a public defender to represent him.
The store reported that the incident caused over $1,000 in damages.
