Morgan Wallen Threw Chair off Six Story Rooftop Bar

Country music singer Morgan Wallen is facing charges after allegedly throwing a chair off a Tennessee bar rooftop which reportedly nearly struck two police officers when it hit the ground.

30-year-old Morgan Wallen is a country music singer and songwriter who got his start in 2014 when he was a contestant on the television show “The Voice.” He has received many nominations and awards throughout his career and he is still a popular artist. In addition to his musical contributions, Wallen is also known for his involvement in controversial situations, such as being arrested for breaking items and fighting at Kid Rock’s steakhouse in Tennessee, using racial slurs publicly, and having his invitation to perform on SNL revoked.

Just before 11:00 PM on April 7, Wallen was in Nashville hanging out at Chief’s Bar, a rooftop establishment at the top of a six-story building. According to reports, several people were with him when he picked up one of the chairs in the establishment and threw it over the edge of the building.

The chair fell six stories and hit the ground a few feet from where two officers from the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department were standing.

Police went to the bar and reviewed the surveillance camera footage, and they reportedly saw a man they believed was Wallen lift a chair and throw it off the building. Other patrons and bar employees also indicated Wallen was the responsible party.

Wallen was taken into custody and transported to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office where he was booked on suspicion of three counts of felony reckless endangerment and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct. He was released from jail a few hours later after posting a $15,250 bond.
