Police Found Domestic Violence Suspect Hiding in Attic

A Kansas man was arrested on many charges after he was accused of being the aggressor in a series of alleged domestic violence incidents that occurred within three months of each other.

According to reports, a 28-year-old man who lives in Parsons had recently been involved in three incidents that were classified as domestic violence crimes. It was believed that the man was the aggressor in each of the events, and considering the pattern, the authorities decided to look deeper into the situation. On June 18, an investigation was opened, and enough information was collected to arrest him.

On August 3, officers from the Parson Police Department, along with deputies from the Labette County Sheriff’s Office, went to the suspect’s home with an arrest warrant. It was reported that the man saw them approaching, and he decided he would try to stay out of sight. He reportedly headed to the attic of the home in an alleged attempt to hide. The police quickly found him, and he cooperated without further incident.

The man was taken into custody and booked into the Labette County Jail. He is facing multiple charges including one felony count of aggravated kidnapping, one felony count of aggravated battery (unknown circumstance), one felony count of aggravated domestic battery (choking a family member or dating partner in a rude manner), one felony count of criminal threat (unknown circumstances), one misdemeanor count of stalking (intimate conduct causing fear to person or family), and one misdemeanor count of domestic battery (rude physical contact with a family member or dating relationship – second in five years), and one misdemeanor count of domestic battery (knowing/reckless bodily harm to family/dating relationship – 3 or more in five years). According to records, he is currently being held without bond.
