After two men reportedly almost got into a car collision on a Parkway in Palm Coast, one of them allegedly brutally assaulted the other when they stopped at a nearby Circle K.
22-year-old Bruce Hunter Rohr and 53-year-old Andrew S both live in Palm Coast, Florida.
In the evening on October 19, both men were traveling on the Belle Terre Parkway in close proximity to each other.
It was reported that Andrew’s vehicle drifted out of his lane and nearly hit Rohr’s car.
Both of the drivers pulled off the parkway and went to a nearby Circle K.
When faced with each other, Rohr and Andrew reportedly got into an argument. A store employee reported that the tension continued when the men entered the store.
Andrew paid for his items and walked out. He appeared to be walking in the direction of his automobile.
When the man turned around, he reportedly saw Rohr charging at him. Andrew reported that he was knocked to the ground by the force Andrew used to run at him. He also alleged that a dent that was visible on his vehicle was caused by the forceful impact.
Andrew said that Rohr began to beat on him using his fists, in addition to kicking him. Andrew was reportedly on the ground during the alleged assault, and he “suffered serious bodily injuries,” according to the affidavit.
In contrast, Rohr reported that he saw Andrew pour coffee on his car. He said he yelled at Andrew, and the man responded by punching him in the face.
The police believed that the way Rohr allegedly assaulted Andrew was excessive.
Both men were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Rohr, who had a cut near his eye, was then arrested and booked for felony aggravated battery. He was held on a $25,000 bond.
It was reported that Andrew required stitches in his head, and his pelvis was injured during the alleged attack.
