Suspect Found with Gun and Thousands in Unopened Lotto Packs

When deputies spotted a driver who allegedly blew through a stop sign, they reportedly found thousands of dollars in unopened packs of scratch-off lottery tickets, in addition to firearms and a large sum of money.

Last Friday night, 20-year-old Isaac Duku was reportedly driving through the Knoxville area on the Northside of Pittsburg.

At approximately 10:00 pm, Duku allegedly approached a stop sign but did not come to a halt.

Deputies with the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Department were nearby, and they reportedly watched as the driver of the vehicle failed to obey the posted road sign.

The deputies pulled the man over, and he was identified as Duku.

When they were talking with Duku, the deputies believed that he appeared as if something was off about his demeanor. They decided to ask him to undergo a roadside sobriety test.

After he reportedly went through the required steps of the test unsuccessfully, the authorities posited that Duku was driving while under the influence of intoxicants.

The deputies detained Duku and performed a search of the inside of his vehicle.

It was reported that the deputies located many packs of scratch-off lottery tickets. They alleged that Duku had 9 packs of tickets worth $300 each, and five packs worth $600 each.

While searching his person, the police reportedly found Duku holding $5,000 cash, marijuana, and a handgun.

Duku was booked into the Allegheny County Jail for suspicion of carrying a firearm without a license, possession with intent to deliver, and driving under the influence, in addition to other charges.

The authorities are still investigating to find out where the purportedly stolen lottery tickets were procured.
