Suspect Slapped With Charges After Burger Assault

A man accused his girlfriend of smashing a burger in his face during a beef, and she is facing domestic battery charges for the allegedly messy incident.

47-year-old Tanya Cordero and her boyfriend are residents of Largo, Florida, and they have four children together who reportedly live in the custody of one of their grandparents.

The couple lives in a trailer in which Cordero’s partner’s mom is listed as the owner, but Cordero was reported as not living there full time.

Just before 9:00 PM on June 4, Cordero was reportedly in her room when she decided to close the window.

Her boyfriend was unhappy with Cordero for shutting the paned framework and his negative reaction allegedly inspired her to take physical action.

Cordero allegedly took a hamburger and squashed the ground beef sandwich in her man’s face with enough force that portions of the food reportedly stayed stuck to him.

The authorities were notified about the alleged domestic unrest, and when they arrived at the couple’s residence they noted that the man had a bit of hamburger in his ear.

The police report reflects that Cordero told them she was not responsible for the burger being smashed in the alleged victim’s face, but she was recorded as expressing a desire for him to choke on it.

It was decided by the police that Cordero seemed the likely aggressor, and she was taken into custody.

Cordero was booked into the Pinellas County Jail, and she is expected to face a misdemeanor charge for suspicion of domestic battery.

When Cordero was released on her own recognizance, she was also court-ordered against having any contact with her boyfriend as a result of the accusations.
