A teenager who allegedly tried to steal from his uncle is facing charges after he reportedly threatened to shoot the man with a high-capacity gun when he was told he would have to leave the home and go stay with his aunt.
On October 27, an 18-year-old man was at his uncle’s home in Memphis, Tennessee, when the pair had an altercation that reportedly became intense. According to reports, his uncle got angry when he believed his nephew tried to steal from him. He decided not to allow his nephew to stay with him. The man informed him that he would be taking him to stay at his aunt’s home instead. The situation escalated when the teen allegedly pulled out a gun.
It was reported that the firearm had a magazine, and the teen reportedly discarded it for what the authorities called a “100-round drum.” Afterwards, the teen allegedly told his uncle he would shoot him if he did not drive away fast enough when leaving him at his aunt’s house. His uncle notified the authorities, and officers from the Memphis Police Department went to the address to investigate the matter.
