A Florida woman contacted the authorities after months of alleged ongoing harassment from her former boyfriend that reportedly escalated into stalking and intimidation.
According to a probable cause affidavit, sheriff’s deputies responded to a home in Parkland on the afternoon of January 28. They met with an adult woman who said her ex-boyfriend had been repeatedly contacting her in unwanted and disturbing ways. She reportedly said the two dated for about two years and had broken up roughly eight or nine months earlier.
The woman told investigators that the alleged contact began as attempts to reconnect. She said her ex reached out, saying he still loved her and wanted to get back together. She reported that, over time, the behavior had become more aggressive and frequent. For several months, she was allegedly bombarded with text messages, handwritten letters, and social media messages.
