A college student from Missouri was arrested and banned from the school campus after being accused of violently assaulting a fellow classmate during a situation that reportedly began when they deleted him from Snapchat.

According to reports, at the end of September, an 18-year-old man from Kansas who attends the University of Missouri realized that one of his female classmates had removed him from Snapchat. The man reportedly confronted her about it, and things allegedly became violent when he reportedly grabbed her by the throat hard enough to leave marks. After the alleged assault, the woman added him back to her Snapchat. A few days later, the man reportedly sent her messages expressing that he was sorry he had choked her, but during an online chat two days later, when the woman mentioned that he had hurt her, he allegedly told her he hated her and would do it again.

On October 29, the man was invited to his classmate’s room, and while there, he reportedly initiated physical intimacy. The woman told him she wanted to go to sleep, and he allegedly put his hands around her neck, squeezing until she blacked out for a few moments. Later that day, the pair reportedly had a physical altercation in the school parking lot, and the man said it started because the woman began chasing him. When the police reviewed surveillance video, they asserted that it did not appear to have happened the way he described.

A Rhode Island man who turned himself in last week for an active arrest warrant is facing multiple charges after allegedly driving under the influence in 2023 and causing a crash that severely injured a passenger.

In May 2023, a woman reportedly blacked out after having drinks with a male friend. She believed the man put her in his car and started to drive her home, but before they arrived, they were in an accident. According to investigators, she was not wearing a seatbelt when they crashed, and she was thrown from the car. While the driver was only mildly hurt, the woman was flown to a nearby hospital for serious injuries that required her to undergo surgery.

The man reportedly told the authorities that he lost control of the vehicle, and when he tried to stop, he was unable to. He also said he recently had mechanical issues with the car but had not yet taken it to an auto shop.
