A Connecticut man with several active arrest warrants is facing a slew of charges after allegedly attempting to drive away when he reportedly crashed into a vehicle on the Interstate while driving under the influence of alcohol.
On the afternoon of May 2, a man was driving a Nissan on Interstate 95 and found himself behind a sedan. He allegedly pulled onto the shoulder and tried to go around the vehicle, and reportedly struck it as he drove by. According to reports, he attempted to speed off, but the other driver trailed behind him and notified the authorities about the incident.
State police quickly arrived, and they reported that they believed the man driving the Nissan was intoxicated. When asked, he allegedly provided the wrong name to the trooper. When taking the roadside sobriety test, it was reported that he did not pass.
