A man in North Carolina may face felony charges after the authorities accused him of being married to three women at the same time.
According to reports, the authorities in Davidson County received information from someone claiming they suspected a man was married to multiple women. Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division detectives began looking into the situation. They reportedly found that a 60-year-old man had a total of three wives – one in Davidson County, one in Guilford County, and one in Lincoln County. The detectives looked for divorce papers, but they alleged that they did not find any. Since the paperwork was missing, they surmised that the man had wed each woman without first ending the previous marriage.
When the authorities tried to find out why the 60-year-old suspect would engage in such behavior, they reported that their investigation led them to believe that he did it for “financial motivation and personal gain.”
