A Michigan man is facing charges after he was named the aggressor in a physical altercation between himself and an 84-year-old man.

On the evening of July 4, a 55-year-old man from Westland was at Kroger in Dearborn. When he was leaving the parking lot, the driver in front of him pulled out very slowly, and the man allegedly became angry. The other driver, later identified as an 84-year-old local man, pulled back into the lot to mail a letter, and the man in the other car reportedly followed him. The drivers reportedly exchanged heated words and gave each other the finger, but things allegedly intensified when they both got out of their vehicles.

When the reportedly slow driver went to put his mail in the box, the other man allegedly came up to him and got too close for comfort. He told him to back off and eventually tried to push him away. They reportedly scuffled until the older man fell down. People nearby saw him on the ground and stayed with him until he was taken to a local hospital. The authorities were notified, and the Dearborn Police Department began investigating.
