The principal of a Florida elementary school who reportedly followed a driver she did not know for an extended time was accused of driving under the influence.

On the evening of December 20, a man was driving on the Interstate when he noticed another car was following closely behind him. He reported that when he tried to get off at his exit, the driver flashed their headlights at him multiple times and caused him to miss the turnoff. The man decided to head to the Boynton Beach police department. The other vehicle’s driver reportedly continued to tail him and flash their lights, even after they entered the police department’s parking lot. An officer came out of the station and intervened, and when they spoke to him, both drivers gave different accounts of the incident.

The man told the officer about being followed, but the driver of the other car, identified as a 47-year-old woman who is the Wynnebrook Elementary School principal, disputed his story. It was reported that she told the officer it was she who was planning to alert the authorities about the man’s unsafe driving. She reportedly said he brake checked her several times while she was behind him. While interacting with her, the officer believed she seemed intoxicated.
