A Wisconsin teenager was scheduled for a competency hearing to determine his mental state after being accused of trying to murder his mother by stabbing her multiple times with a hedge trimmer.
According to reports, on July 16, a 16-year-old from Suamico was found and returned to his home after running away the previous day. In addition to his alleged anger about being taken back home, he reportedly became even more outraged when he learned his mother had accessed his YouTube account and removed rap videos. He allegedly directed his displeasure at the woman, and over the day, the intensity reached a point that caused her to fear for her safety. She decided to take all the sharp objects from the home and stash them in her locked vehicle.
Hours later, the power inside the home went off, and the woman went to the electrical box to investigate. When she got there, her son reportedly stabbed her multiple times with a pair of hedge trimmers. She made it to her car with her younger son, age 12, and drove off so she could contact the authorities and protect herself from further harm.
